The invention belongs to the technical field of quartzite plates, and particularly relates to a light high-strength quartzite plate and a production method thereof. The quartzite plate is prepared from the following components: quartz sand, hollow glass beads, silicon modified epoxy resin, a foaming agent, a hardening agent and a dispersing agent, according to the present invention, the silica-modified epoxy resin and the quartz sand are subjected to mixing treatment, such that the resin is attached to the surface of the quartz sand particle so as to improve the weather resistance of the quartz sand, and the low density characteristic of the hollow glass bead is utilized, and the foaming agent is adopted to perform surface modification treatment so as to improve the wear resistance of the quartz sand; and the structural stability of combination of the hollow glass beads and the quartz sand is enhanced, so that the quartzite plate which is stable in internal structure, light in weight and high in strength is formed, and the wear resistance and sound insulation performance of the material are improved to a certain extent under the cooperation of a proper system.
