The invention provides a work machine capable of realizing an automatic brake holding function without hindering work. This work machine is provided with: a vehicle body for traveling; a work machine supported by the vehicle body; an acceleration operation device that is operated in order to increase the traveling speed of the vehicle body; a brake operation device that is operated in order to reduce the traveling speed of the vehicle body; and a controller. When the travel speed of the vehicle body is equal to or less than a threshold value by the operation of the brake operation device, the controller executes automatic brake holding control such that the vehicle body is maintained in a travel-stopped state by holding the braking force, and the holding of the braking force is released by the operation of the acceleration operation device. The controller determines whether or not the work is performed by the work machine, and invalidates the automatic brake holding control when the work is performed.
