The invention discloses a deicing device for stayed cables of a cable-stayed bridge, in particular to a deicing device for stayed cables of the cable-stayed bridge and a deicing method thereof.The deicing device comprises the cable, climbing equipment used for climbing the cable is installed on the outer side of the cable, and the bottom of the climbing equipment is fixedly connected with an anti-sliding-down module used for preventing the equipment from sliding down; an anti-rotation module used for preventing the climbing equipment from rotating is arranged below the anti-sliding-down module, the other end of the second connecting rod is fixedly connected with a deicing module used for deicing, the outer side of the inhaul cable is sleeved with the deicing module, and an ice knocking module used for pretreating ice is arranged below the deicing module. Climbing equipment is installed on the outer side of the inhaul cable to serve as traction equipment, during deicing work, a motor drives a rotating shaft to rotate, the rotating shaft drives a driving gear to rotate, the driving gear drives a driven gear to rotate, and the driven gear drives internal deicing teeth to rotate on the outer side of the inhaul cable; and at the moment, the climbing equipment is matched to rotationally remove ice blocks on the surface of the inhaul cable in the advancing process.
