A prefabricated pier connected by self-locking type large-diameter steel bars comprises a bearing platform, a prefabricated pier body, a prefabricated cover beam, common steel bars, grouting materials, self-locking type anchorage devices, the large-diameter steel bars, steel base plates, nuts and corrugated pipes. Corrugated pipes are arranged in the bearing platform, the prefabricated pier body and the prefabricated cover beam, and self-locking anchorage devices are further embedded in the positions, below the corrugated pipes, in the bearing platform; the steel base plate is arranged at the lower end of the large-diameter steel bar and penetrates through the self-locking anchorage device to anchor the lower end of the large-diameter steel bar, the large-diameter steel bar penetrates through corrugated pipes in the bearing platform, the prefabricated pier body and the prefabricated cover beam to connect the bearing platform, the prefabricated pier body and the prefabricated cover beam, and the upper end of the large-diameter steel bar is connected with a nut to anchor the upper end of the large-diameter steel bar. The invention further relates to a construction method of the prefabricated pier connected through the self-locking type large-diameter steel bars. Large-diameter steel bars penetrate through the whole bridge pier structure, a bearing platform, a pier column and a cover beam which are independently manufactured are connected into a system, and the purpose of overall stress is achieved.
