The invention relates to the technical field of road traffic facilities, in particular to a speed reduction and shock absorption type vehicle deceleration strip which comprises a mounting seat and a deceleration strip body, the mounting seat is arranged in a pit under the road surface, the deceleration strip body is rotationally connected to the mounting seat through a rotating shaft, the rotating shaft is perpendicular to the road driving direction, and the upper surface of the deceleration strip body is a plane; when the deceleration strip body is in an initial state, the upper surface is 50 mm-100 mm higher than the road surface, the rotating shaft is located over the gravity center of the deceleration strip body, and the width of the upper surface of the deceleration strip body is larger than the tire diameter of a running vehicle and smaller than the distance between a front tire and a rear tire of the vehicle. According to the deceleration strip, the deceleration effect on a vehicle can be improved, and meanwhile vibration generated when the vehicle passes through the deceleration strip is reduced.
