The invention relates to a safety warning device which comprises a safety pile, assembling grooves are formed in the four sides of the safety pile, an alternating mechanism is assembled in the assembling grooves, an adjusting groove is formed in the lower side of the safety pile, an adjusting assembly is assembled in the adjusting groove, and the alternating mechanism comprises two rotating shafts and a conveying belt. The two rotating shafts are rotationally arranged on the upper side and the lower side of the assembling groove correspondingly, a one-way bearing is assembled on the side edge of one rotating shaft on the lower side, a gear is fixedly assembled on the outer side of the one-way bearing, the conveying belt is arranged between the two rotating shafts in a transmission mode, and a plurality of reflective strips are arranged on the outer side of the conveying belt. The reflective strips are matched with the reflective grooves, the adjusting assembly comprises racks, the racks are slidably assembled in the adjusting grooves, springs are fixedly assembled between the upper ends of the racks and the tops of the adjusting grooves, the reflective strips can be replaced by adjusting the rotating shaft to rotate, the reflective strips in the assembling grooves are alternately used, and the situation that the same reflective strip is used for a long time, and consequently loss is caused is avoided.
