The construction method comprises the following steps: a, manufacturing a steel structure guardrail; b, measuring and lofting the wood structure column; c, mounting a limiting structure; d, fixing an inner steel plate on the outer side of the wood structure column; e, mounting a steel structure adjusting frame on the outer steel plate; f, fixing an outer steel plate on the outer side of the inner steel plate; g, a fixed steel plate is installed on the steel structure adjusting frame; h, the steel structure guardrail and the fixed steel plate are welded; and i, the outer steel plate is painted, and then the fixed steel plate, the steel structure guardrail and the steel structure adjusting frame are painted. According to the invention, the fixed connection between the steel structure guardrail and the wood structure column can be realized. The bottom of the wood structure column can be protected, the stress capacity of the wood structure column is improved, and the installation requirement of a steel structure guardrail with a certain weight is met. And moreover, the constructed steel structure guardrails can be located on the same straight line or can be distributed at an angle, the steel structure guardrails are suitable for being distributed among different wood structure columns to be installed, and the application range is wide.
