The invention discloses an ancient building repairing and reinforcing method which comprises two mounting bottom plates, splice plates are arranged on the mounting plates, connecting plates are arranged between the mounting bottom plates and the splice plates, the distance between the mounting bottom plates and the connecting plates and the distance between the connecting plates and the splice plates are adjustable, and the connecting plates comprise main plates. Supporting plates are fixedly connected to the two ends of the main plate, inserting grooves allowing the supporting plates to be inserted are formed in the top of the mounting bottom plate and the two ends of the splicing plate, and hoop assemblies are arranged on the supporting plates. Through cooperation of the structures, the connecting plates and the splicing plates can be spliced, multiple hoops can be conveniently formed, ancient building supporting columns with different heights can be conveniently supported and fixed, the height positions of the hoops can be finely adjusted, the repairing and reinforcing range of the ancient building columns is wider, and the repairing and reinforcing efficiency is improved.
