The invention provides an improved steel structure correcting and mounting device and a construction method thereof. The correcting and mounting device comprises a frame body, a set of first motors are mounted at the top of the frame body, first lead screws are mounted at the output ends of the first motors, first limiting rods are mounted at the positions, close to the first lead screws, of the frame body, and movable frames are mounted between the first lead screws and the first limiting rods; the bottom of the frame body and the top of the movable frame are each provided with two sets of fixing frames, a sliding table is installed between the tops of the two fixing frames in each set, and a baffle is installed on each sliding table through a second motor, a second lead screw and a second limiting rod. Protective devices are arranged on the outer surfaces of the baffles, and stabilizing devices and universal wheels are further arranged at the bottom of the frame body. The baffles on the fixed frame and the movable frame can support the top and the bottom of the steel structure stand column at the same time by moving the movable frame, shaking is avoided, and the mounting stability of the steel structure stand column is improved; the protection device plays a role in separating the baffle and the steel structure stand column, and the surface of the steel structure stand column is prevented from being abraded by the baffle.
