The invention relates to a prefabricated assembly type house and a construction method thereof. The prefabricated assembly type house comprises assembly plates used for building the house and a prefabricated balcony used for being installed on the assembly plates. An assembling platform is arranged on one side of the assembling plate, a sliding plate is arranged on the assembling platform in a sliding mode, a guide sleeve with a center shaft arranged in the sliding direction of the sliding plate is arranged on the assembling plate, and a sliding rod inserted into and sliding in the guide sleeve is arranged on the side wall, facing the guide sleeve, of the sliding plate. A plurality of positioning pipes are arranged on the sliding plate, and the positioning pipes are perpendicular to the sliding plate; the prefabricated balcony is provided with a plurality of positioning grooves allowing the positioning pipes to be inserted therein. The prefabricated balcony mounting device has the advantages that time and labor are saved, the workload of workers is greatly reduced, and the mounting efficiency of the prefabricated balcony is improved.
