The invention provides a water surface garbage collection robot, and relates to the technical field of robots, the water surface garbage collection robot comprises an outer barrel, a water pump, a floating barrel, an inner barrel support, an inner barrel, a water retaining piece, a buoyant raft assembly, a storage battery, an integrated controller, an ultrasonic sensor, a sail assembly and a water level sensor, the floating barrel and the water retaining piece act cooperatively to open and close the water inlet notch, then the difference between the liquid level inside and outside the outer barrel is controlled, water surface garbage enters the inner barrel along with inflow water during water inflow, water surface garbage collection is achieved, the function of self-adaptive control over the water level in the barrel is achieved, and the function of self-adaptive garbage collection is achieved. The water level sensor can detect the height of water in the inner barrel, when the water level reaches the set height, the integrated controller controls the water pump to start to operate, water is discharged out of the outer barrel, and the function of actively adjusting the water level in the barrel is achieved. Therefore, the unattended operation function is achieved, the water surface garbage cleaning cost can be reduced, and the water surface garbage cleaning efficiency is improved.
