The invention discloses watermelon crack glaze with a crack effect and a preparation method of the watermelon crack glaze. The watermelon crack glaze comprises ground glaze and cover glaze, the ground glaze is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 60 to 66 parts of SiO2, 12 to 14 parts of Al2O3, 2 to 3 parts of K2O, 0.5 to 1 part of Na2O, 9 to 13 parts of CaO, 4 to 6 parts of MgO, 1 to 2.5 parts of Li2O, 2 to 3.5 parts of BaO and 8 to 10 parts of dark green pigment; the cover glaze is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 48 to 51 parts of SiO2, 15 to 18 parts of Al2O3, 1.5 to 2.5 parts of K2O, 2.5 to 3.5 parts of Na2O, 5 to 8 parts of CaO, 5 to 7 parts of MgO, 1 to 1.5 parts of BaO, 10 to 14 parts of ZrO2 and 5 to 7 parts of light green pigment; the method comprises the following steps: S1, respectively weighing components of ground glaze and cover glaze according to a formula, adding water, and grinding; s2, sequentially spraying ground glaze and cover glaze on the surface of the biscuit firing green body by adopting processes of glazing, glue painting, glaze spraying, glue tearing and re-glazing; and S3, drying the biscuit firing green body after glaze spraying, putting the biscuit firing green body into a kiln, adopting a firing period of 8-12 hours, controlling the highest sintering temperature at 1230-1260 DEG C, slowly cooling after firing, and discharging the biscuit firing green body out of the kiln to obtain the watermelon crackle glaze with the crack effect.
