The invention discloses a novel cement foam material and a preparation method thereof. The novel cement foam material is prepared from cement, gypsum, fly ash, silica fume, aluminum powder, water, a foaming agent, urea resin, polycarboxylate, calcium silicate, calcium hydroxide, phenolic resin and plant cellulose. The foaming agent is prepared from water, lime, fish gelatin, gelatin, fatty alcohol-polyoxyethylene ether, sodium alkyl benzene sulfonate and sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate. The cement foaming material disclosed by the invention has the advantages of low density, small heat conductivity coefficient, low water absorption rate, high compressive strength, environmental protection and the like, and can be applied to the fields of building heat insulation, heat preservation, energy conservation, environmental protection and the like.
