The invention discloses a dynamic compaction hammer capable of rapidly adjusting a balance weight and a using method thereof. The dynamic compaction hammer comprises a bottom stress hammer, a balance weight hammer and a fastening device. The bottom stress hammer comprises a hammer body and a sleeve rod, the hammer body and the sleeve rod are both cylinders, the diameter of the bottom face of the hammer body is larger than that of the bottom face of the sleeve rod, and the sleeve rod is arranged in the middle of the top face of the hammer body. A through hole is formed in the middle of the counter weight hammer, the counter weight hammer can be sleeved on the sleeve rod in a penetrating mode, the counter weight hammer is a sheet-shaped cylinder, the bottom area of the counter weight hammer is the same as that of the bottom stress hammer, and the counter weight hammer can be sleeved on the sleeve rod in a penetrating mode. The fastening device comprises a limiting component and an elastic component, the limiting component is detachably connected with the end, away from the hammer body, of the sleeve rod, one end of the elastic component abuts against the balance weight hammer, and the other end of the elastic component abuts against the limiting component. The weight of the counter weight hammer is large, the number of times of arranging the counter weight hammer is reduced, the height after the counter weight hammer is arranged is reduced, and the dynamic compaction hammer with the counter weight is low in height and more stable.
