本发明公开了一种公路预制小箱梁桥上跨铁路施工过程临时防护方法，包括：S1、预制箱梁，在完成布筋且未浇筑混凝土时，将预埋连接件固定在箱梁的设定位置上，且预埋连接件的外端伸出箱梁；S2、待箱梁预制完成后，拆除钢模；S3、将箱梁吊装就位后，在预埋连接件的外端架设防护棚；S4、在施工桥梁湿接缝时，梁缝预留用于后续将拆除的防护棚材料运出的工作孔；S5、桥梁湿接缝整体施工完毕后，拆除防护棚。本发明在预制箱梁时预埋连接件，在预埋连接件上通过连接结构搭设防护棚，且防护棚拆除时，拆除的防护棚材料可由工作孔运出，便于拆除，不但减少在预制小箱梁桥施工过程中对铁路的影响，而且可确保施工安全、高效、便利。
