The invention provides a vehicle tail door closing control method which comprises the following steps: in response to the fact that a tail door of a vehicle is opened from a closing position to an opening position, acquiring obstacle information in a predetermined detection space below the tail door; timing operation is adjusted according to the obstacle information; and executing the closing operation of the tail gate when the timing reaches the preset time threshold value. According to the vehicle tail door closing control method, the timing operation for closing the tail door is adjusted according to whether the obstacle exists or not and according to the existence position of the obstacle when needed, the opening keeping time and the closing delaying time of the tail door can be controlled according to various conditions, and therefore the vehicle tail door can be automatically closed at the proper time, and the vehicle tail door closing efficiency is improved. No operation is reduced, a user does not need to carry out additional operation, and the use convenience and accuracy of the vehicle tail door are improved. The invention further provides a corresponding vehicle tail gate control system, a computer program product and a vehicle with the vehicle tail gate control system.
