The repairing material specifically comprises the following components: cement, an H60 type high-strength shrinkage-free grouting material, modified diatomite, an acrylic emulsion, a defoaming agent, a thickening agent, a water repellent, a coalescing agent and water, wherein a preparation method of the modified diatomite comprises the following steps: under the condition that the temperature is 80-100 DEG C, taking a 0.2-0.8 wt% phosphoric acid aqueous solution as a solvent and ethyl cellulose as a modifier, and then modifying the diatomite; the weight ratio of ethyl cellulose to diatomite is (6-8): (1-3). The invention further discloses a preparation method of the repairing material. The repairing material disclosed by the invention is used for repairing the rail air duct, the appearance quality of the rail top air duct can be improved, and the repaired rail top air duct has good bonding strength, impermeability, water resistance and aging resistance.
