The invention discloses an artificial water-absorbing stone and a manufacturing method thereof, the artificial water-absorbing stone comprises the following material components: cement, a filler, natural water-absorbing stone powder, a foaming agent, a cement alkali inhibitor, toner and water, and the manufacturing method comprises the following steps: step 1, preparing an inner mold and an outer mold; 2, preparing the raw materials according to the component ratio; 3, stirring the materials in sequence to form slurry; 4, the slurry is poured into a mold and vibrated and compacted; step 5, standing and forming; 6, soaking a finished product in water for curing; the low-alkali sulphoaluminate cement and ingredients thereof are used for manufacturing the artificial absorbent stone, air holes are formed in the artificial absorbent stone through the foaming agent, the effect of simulating water absorption of natural absorbent stone is achieved, dependence on materials of the natural absorbent stone is avoided, meanwhile, the shape of an inner cavity of the mold can be changed according to market requirements, and the mold is convenient to use. And batch production of the artificial absorbent stone is realized.
