The invention discloses a roof greening automatic irrigation system which comprises at least two culture containers and an automatic water supply device, the culture containers are sequentially communicated end to end in the water flow direction and can be used for culturing roof green plants, and the automatic water supply device is used for conveying water to the water inlet end of the culture container located at the head end. According to the invention, the culture containers are arranged in a manner that the culture containers are communicated end to end along the water flow direction, and an automatic water supply device is matched for use, so that the circulating water supply irrigation of the culture containers can be automatically realized, the plant growth is ensured, and the maintenance cost is reduced.
