The supporting structure for the building comprises a stand column, at least one branch column and a fixing unit, the branch columns are connected with one end of the stand column, the number of the branch columns is at least one, and the axis of the branch columns and the axis of the stand column are not collinear; one end of the fixing unit is arranged on the stand column, and the other end of the fixing unit is used for being connected with the side of a building body. According to the supporting structure for the building, the cross section of the stand column does not need to be increased or other stand columns made of higher-strength materials do not need to be used, and the construction cost is reduced on the premise that the structural safety is not affected.
