The invention discloses a construction method for assembling gate-type pier capping beam sections, which comprises the following steps of: 1) respectively prefabricating cast-in-place sections at the top of a pier column, and sequentially mounting supporting legs, two groups of primary trusses which are adjacent end to end and two hoisting cranes on the upper sides of the prefabricated cast-in-place sections, and 2) respectively fixing hanging cross beams on the gate-type pier capping beam sections, (3) a hoisting crane uses an inverted-T-shaped special lifting appliance to lift the gate-type pier capping beam sections through the hanging cross beams, so that the gate-type pier capping beam sections are hung below the main truss after being close to the prefabricated cast-in-place sections; the construction method comprises the following steps of (1) constructing a plurality of gate-type pier bent cap sections, (2) completing the construction of the gate-type pier bent cap sections, (3) completing the hoisting and hanging of the gate-type pier bent cap sections section by section, (4) completing the hoisting and hanging of the gate-type pier bent cap sections section by section, (5) completing the temporary prestress tensioning of the gate-type pier bent cap sections, (6) completing the construction of wet joints among the gate-type pier bent cap sections, and (7) completing the permanent prestress tensioning of steel strands of the assembled gate-type pier bent cap. According to the construction method, the problem of gate-type pier capping beam construction in a road section with a short construction window period is solved, the site construction time is shortened, the construction efficiency is obviously improved, and social benefits and economic benefits are remarkable.
