The invention discloses a method for reinforcing a foundation in a freezing and thawing area of an expressway, which comprises the following steps of: draining the foundation through a drainage assembly, the drainage assembly comprises a pair of longitudinal drainage grooves arranged below two road shoulders of a pavement layer, a pair of transverse drainage grooves arranged below two road shoulders of the pavement layer, and a pair of transverse drainage grooves arranged below two road shoulders of the pavement layer; the upper water collecting plate is arranged below the pavement layer; the lower water collecting plate is arranged below the upper water collecting plate; the transverse drainage grooves are formed below the two longitudinal ends of the lower water collecting plate. Accumulated water of the pavement layer can be rapidly discharged from the road shoulder side, accumulated water permeating into the lower portion of the pavement layer is rapidly discharged from top to bottom, erosion of rainwater to a highway foundation is reduced, and the highway pavement structure has high adaptability and improvement performance on the multi-year freezing and thawing cycle effect of freezing and thawing areas of the east highway.
