The invention relates to the technical field of building drainage, and discloses a drainage system and a water supplementing method.The drainage system comprises a water supply pipe, a drainage unit, a first floor drain, a water inlet pipe and a plurality of sanitary ware, the water supply pipe is connected end to end to form a ring, and the sanitary ware communicates with the water supply pipe; the drainage unit communicates with the water supply pipe and the first floor drain. The device has the advantages that the water supply pipe is connected end to end to form a ring and communicated with the sanitary ware, when any sanitary ware uses water, water is drained through the water supply pipe and drives water stored in other sanitary ware to flow at the same time, so that fresh water is supplemented to the water supply pipe, the residual chlorine amount of the water supply pipe is guaranteed, and large-scale propagation of gills is effectively prevented; the drainage unit is communicated with the water supply pipe and the first floor drain, so that drained water can be indirectly supplemented into the first floor drain; when the sanitary ware is not used for a long time, water can be drained through the water drainage unit to simulate water use of the sanitary ware, and the purpose of running water is achieved as well.
