The invention discloses a construction method of an assembly type wallboard structure, the assembly type wallboard structure comprises a keel supporting layer installed on the inner side face of a concrete wallboard and a calcium silicate board wallboard layer installed on the keel supporting layer, the keel supporting layer comprises N transverse keels and a hanging board keel, the calcium silicate board wallboard layer comprises M rectangular calcium silicate boards which are spliced in sequence, top closing-up strips are mounted at the tops of the M rectangular calcium silicate boards, and bottom closing-up strips are mounted at the bottoms of the M rectangular calcium silicate boards; the construction method comprises the following steps: 1, mounting the keel supporting layer; 2, the calcium silicate board wallboard layer is installed; and thirdly, the external corner connecting strip and the internal corner connecting strip are installed. The two side end faces of the rectangular calcium silicate board are both flat planes, so that the rectangular calcium silicate board can be conveniently cut according to the assembly size requirement on a construction site, batch customization of the calcium silicate board is facilitated, the construction method is convenient to operate, and the perpendicularity and reliability of installation of the calcium silicate board wallboard layer can be improved.
