The invention relates to an assembly type subway station side wall positioning device and method, the positioning device comprises a rack which can move longitudinally and is arranged in a station foundation pit, and the rack comprises a bottom rack, a top rack and a straddle support assembly connected between the bottom rack and the top rack in a supporting mode; the side wall seam positioning instrument group is used for positioning a side wall seam and comprises at least two first positioning instruments which are vertically arranged on the side surfaces of the top frame and the straddle support assembly at intervals; the main body positioning instrument group is used for positioning a side wall main body and comprises at least two second positioning instruments which are arranged on the top frame at specific intervals along the longitudinal direction; and the deviation rectifying assembly is used for rectifying deviation and is connected to the side wall. The technical problem that in the prior art, the perpendicularity and the assembling precision are low when the fabricated side wall of the subway station is installed is solved. The prefabricated side wall block is convenient to hoist and rectify, and friction and collision between the assembling trolley body and the side wall are avoided.
