The invention relates to a simple large-diameter UU-shaped steel pull rod tensioning tool which comprises a UU-shaped steel pull rod, a U-shaped inhaul cable, a linear inhaul cable, a flat clamping piece type sighting telescope assembly and a jack tensioning assembly. The U-shaped inhaul cable is wound around the connector lug plates at the two ends of the UU-shaped steel pull rod, the two ends of the linear inhaul cable are each connected with one flat clamping piece sighting telescope assembly, the flat clamping piece sighting telescope assemblies are connected with the ends of the U-shaped inhaul cable, and the connector lug plates at the two ends of the UU-shaped steel pull rod are arranged on the same side to form one set. The U-shaped inhaul cable, the flat clamping piece sighting telescope assemblies and the linear inhaul cable which are correspondingly connected are located in the same plane, and the jack tensioning assembly is arranged on one side of one flat clamping piece sighting telescope assembly and connected with the linear inhaul cable. The tensioning tool has the advantages that the tensioning tool is easy and convenient to assemble, the problem that the tensioning work efficiency is low due to a traditional manual torque wrench and a hydraulic device can be solved, the tensioning work efficiency is improved, and the tensioning tool can be suitable for tensioning objects of different sizes and is high in applicability.
