The invention relates to the technical field of fences, and discloses a movable tidal pedestrian flow handrail which comprises a base, a vertical plate is arranged on the base, extension mechanisms are arranged on the two sides of the vertical plate, each extension mechanism comprises extension parts arranged on the two sides of the side wall of the vertical plate, and each extension part comprises a sliding groove formed in the side wall of the vertical plate and a guardrail plate slidably connected with the sliding groove; worms are rotationally connected to the two sides of the vertical plate, and the rotating directions of the two worms are opposite; a through hole is formed in the side wall of the vertical plate, rotating shafts are rotationally connected to the two sides of the inner wall of the through hole, and worm wheels meshed with the worm are coaxially connected to the rotating shafts; the rotating shaft is provided with a movable arm, and the movable arm is provided with a positioning block used for abutting against the two guardrail plates on the single side of the vertical plate at the same time; the adjusting mechanism is used for adjusting the distance between the guardrail plates on the two sides of the vertical plate, and the rotating mechanism is used for driving the two worms to rotate at the same time. The scheme mainly solves the problem of poor positioning effect of the isolation length adjusting mode of the existing isolation equipment.
