The present invention relates to a road machine which suppresses collision between an information acquisition device installed outside the width range of a tractor and an obstacle during construction. An asphalt rolling machine (100) is provided with: a tractor (1); a hopper (2) provided in front of the tractor and receiving paving material (PV); a conveyor (CV) for supplying the paving material in the hopper (2) to the rear of the tractor; a screw (SC) that spreads the paving material (PV) supplied by the conveyor (CV) behind the tractor; a leveling machine (3) which uniformly paves the paving material (PV) spread by the screw (SC) behind the screw (SC) and is capable of extending and retracting in the vehicle width direction; an object detection device (51) as an information acquisition device, which is disposed outside the width (WC) range of the tractor and acquires information about the surroundings; and an obstacle detection device (55) that detects an obstacle present on the collision route (T1) of the object detection device (51).
