A connecting element (100) for reversibly connecting a handle comprising a mating connecting element to a sub-assembly of an actuation handle for a structural element is presented. The connecting element comprises a bottom element (101), a receiving portion (105) for receiving the actuating element of the actuating handle, which receiving portion extends along a longitudinal axis (103) in the bottom element (101), a fixing element (107), the fixing end (109) of which is connected to the bottom element, and a fastening element (107), the fastening end (109) of which is connected to the bottom element (101) and the fastening end (109) of which is connected to the receiving portion (105) of the receiving portion (105). Wherein a fastening end (109) of the fastening element (107) is movable relative to the base element (101) between a release position and a fastening position, and wherein the fastening end (109) is farther from the longitudinal axis (103) in the fastening position than in the release position.
