The preparation method comprises the following steps: preparing mixed powder; preparing modified expanded perlite powder; melting solid polyethylene glycol; adding the modified expanded perlite powder into liquid polyethylene glycol to obtain a polyethylene glycol/expanded perlite material; and performing high-temperature compression molding. The polyethylene glycol/expanded perlite material is prepared through reaction of polyethylene glycol and expanded perlite, the polyethylene glycol/expanded perlite material has good heat storage performance, and the heat storage brick prepared after the polyethylene glycol/expanded perlite material is added has the same performance as the polyethylene glycol/expanded perlite material; compared with a conventional heat storage brick, the heat storage brick has better heat storage effect.
