The invention relates to the technical field of tunnel engineering, in particular to jet mortar and a preparation method thereof.The jet mortar is prepared from, by mass, 90-120 parts of cement, 0-5 parts of admixture, 90-600 parts of sand, 140-300 parts of water, 0-60 parts of sodium hydroxide, 0.5-4 parts of water reducing agent, 5-12 parts of accelerator, 0-10 parts of mixed fiber and 12-150 parts of saw dust. The recycled sawdust is doped into the mortar instead of sand, so that the porosity of the mortar is improved, the mass of the mortar is reduced, the cost of the mortar is reduced, the adhesive property of the mortar is improved by utilizing the admixture, and the cracking of the mortar is delayed and the rebound rate is reduced by adding the mixed fibers into the mortar. The prepared spraying mortar can tightly bond a primary support, a waterproof layer and a secondary lining, and has the advantages of light weight, low rebound rate, large porosity, good permeability, energy conservation, environmental protection and the like.
