The invention provides a spray-seeding material for ecological greening of a side slope and a construction method. The spray-seeding material is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 0 to 60 parts of soil, 10 to 40 parts of plant fibers and 10 to 40 parts of peat soil. The auxiliary agent is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 10 to 30 parts of cellulose, 10 to 40 parts of polyvinyl alcohol, 20 to 50 parts of isocyanate, 0 to 30 parts of xanthan gum and 0 to 5 parts of polyacrylamide. After the composition is sprayed and sown, the air permeability, cohesiveness, water and fertilizer retention, rain wash resistance and thawing and freezing resistance of soil can be improved, germination and growth of plants can be promoted, and the effect of rapid regreening is achieved.
