The invention relates to the technical field of vibration and shock resistance of bridges, in particular to a force-controlled segmented variable-damping viscous damper which comprises a left spherical hinge seat, a plug component, a cylinder body, a piston rod, a right spherical hinge seat, a damping medium and a piston assembly. The piston rod is arranged in the cylinder body, one end of the piston rod is connected with the left spherical hinge base, one end of the cylinder body is movably connected with the left spherical hinge base, and the other end of the cylinder body is movably connected with the right spherical hinge base. The two sides of the cylinder body are connected with the piston rod through plug components to form a sealing cavity, damping media are contained in the sealing cavity, and a piston assembly which is arranged on the outer side of the piston rod in a sleeving mode and used for adjusting the damping coefficient and the damping index is arranged in the middle of the sealing cavity. The force-controlled segmented variable-damping viscous damper is simple in structure, convenient to debug and low in cost increase, can meet the vibration reduction requirements of a bridge in various operation states, and has a good application prospect.
