The damping-variable self-resetting viscous damper comprises a resetting cylinder and a damping cylinder which are coaxially connected, and a movable connecting rod is arranged in the resetting cylinder in a penetrating mode; one end of the reset spring is connected with the movable connecting rod, and the other end of the reset spring is connected with one end, opposite to the damping cylinder, of the reset cylinder; the part, located in the damping cylinder, of the movable connecting rod is sleeved with a rotating disc, and a piston is sleeved outside the rotating disc and connected with the damping cylinder through a piston sliding rail arranged on the inner wall of the damping cylinder. Through holes are formed in the turntable and the piston; the damping cylinder is filled with a damping medium; good reset capacity is achieved through the reset spring, the problem that the damper is difficult to reset and replace in the earthquake and after the earthquake is solved, and the adverse effect of residual displacement on equipment is also avoided; due to the fact that the multiple sets of through holes with different inner diameters are formed in the rotary disc, the damping of the damper can be adjusted according to needs, and the applicability of the damper is improved.
