The invention discloses an empty box anti-flood wall and a using method, the empty box anti-flood wall comprises an empty box wall body, and the empty box wall body is arranged between an inland river and an outer river and used for separating the inland river from the outer river; a cast-in-situ bored pile support is arranged below the empty box wall body; ecological holes are formed in at least one empty box wall body, the ecological holes are formed in the side walls, facing the inland river and the outer river, of the empty box wall bodies, and the ecological holes are used for communicating the inland river, the outer river and inner cavities of the empty box wall bodies. Flood prevention roads are arranged on the upper end faces of the empty box walls, pavement structures are laid on the top faces to serve as flood prevention channels, and wave walls are arranged on the outer river sides of the flood prevention roads to be connected with the empty box walls; the screw hoist is arranged on the side, facing an inland river or an outer river, of the empty box wall through a bracket and used for adjusting the control gate, and the control gate is used for controlling closing and opening of the ecological holes. The flood control method comprises the steps that in the flood season, the sluice gate is closed, and an inland river and an outer river are separated for flood control; in a non-flood season, the sluice gate is opened, and the ecological holes are communicated with water systems of the inland river and the outer river for ecological balance.
