The invention provides a sound-absorbing wall and a construction method. The sound-absorbing wall comprises a wall surface; the keel frame is mounted on the surface of the wall surface, and the keel frame is provided with a plurality of mounting holes; the prefabricated sound absorption blocks are clamped in the mounting holes, the prefabricated sound absorption blocks make contact with the side face of the keel frame, and a mounting groove is formed between every two adjacent prefabricated sound absorption blocks and the keel frame; the mounting grooves are formed in the keel frame, the pressing strips are mounted in the mounting grooves, and the pressing strips are connected with the prefabricated sound absorption blocks and press the prefabricated sound absorption blocks towards the keel frame. The prefabricated sound-absorbing block is integrally machined in a factory, the prefabricated sound-absorbing block is transported to a sound-absorbing wall assembling site and can be directly installed on a keel frame, convenience and rapidness are achieved, the construction steps are simplified, and the working efficiency is improved.
