The invention provides a self-cleaning road surface detection vehicle which comprises a vehicle body, a protective shell is arranged on the vehicle body, an opening is formed in one side of the protective shell, and a mounting groove is formed in the protective shell. The mounting frame is slidably arranged in the protective shell in the opening direction of the protective shell, a detection platform is arranged at the bottom of the mounting frame, a camera is arranged at the bottom of the detection platform, and a folding and unfolding assembly connected with the mounting frame is arranged in the mounting groove. A cleaning mechanism connected through a linkage assembly is further arranged in the protective shell, and the mounting frame drives the cleaning mechanism to move through the linkage assembly to clean the camera at the bottom of the detection platform in the sliding process. According to the road surface detection vehicle, the camera can be automatically cleaned in the sliding process of the mounting frame, the situation that a worker forgets the cleaning process and consequently a shot image is blurred in the detection process is effectively avoided, and the detection effect of road surface detection is improved.
