The invention relates to an air blower which comprises a shell extending in the axial direction, a battery pack detachably connected to the shell, a power assembly at least partially contained in the shell and an air pipe assembly connected with the shell. The shell comprises a connecting part connected with the air pipe assembly, a body part connected to the axial rear side of the connecting part and a mounting part used for being connected with the battery pack and the body part, the power assembly comprises a motor at least partially located in the body part and a fan driven by the motor to rotate, and the fan rotates to generate airflow passing through the interior of the air pipe assembly; the body part comprises air inlets communicating with the outside in the axial direction and a pre-air-inlet area located on the axial rear sides of the air inlets, and the air inlets are located on the two sides of the installation part in the transverse direction perpendicular to the axial direction. By arranging the air inlet which is opened backwards in the axial direction and the pre-air-inlet area located on the axial rear side of the air inlet, the air inlet efficiency is improved.
