The walking type hanging basket system for viaduct guardrail construction comprises a base and a hanging basket body, walking assemblies are arranged below the base, a material transferring platform is arranged in the middle of the base, supporting columns are symmetrically arranged at the two ends of the base, and a cross beam is jointly arranged at the top ends of the two supporting columns; a counterweight mechanism is arranged at one end of the cross beam, the other end of the cross beam is connected with the hanging basket body through a lifting assembly, an auxiliary mechanism is arranged in the hanging basket body, and a hoisting mechanism is arranged in the middle of the cross beam and matched with the material transferring platform. Through mutual cooperation of the whole devices, a hanging basket, hoisting and the like can be integrated, walking adjustment can be facilitated during construction, meanwhile, materials can be conveniently hoisted, a constructor can conduct construction operation in the hanging basket, safety is high, and operation is easy and convenient.
