The invention relates to the technical field of skylights, in particular to a glass fireproof skylight which comprises a metal window frame, the metal window frame is provided with a first cavity and a second cavity, the first cavity communicates with the second cavity, a hot melting piece is arranged at the communicating position, carbon dioxide generating liquid is arranged in the first cavity, and carbon dioxide generating solid is arranged in the second cavity; discharge holes are further formed in the side wall and the bottom wall, corresponding to the second cavity, of the metal window frame; and the glass component is arranged in the metal window frame. When a fire occurs, carbon dioxide gas is generated through the carbon dioxide generation liquid and the carbon dioxide generation solid, the trend that the fire spreads towards the glass fireproof skylight can be stopped through the carbon dioxide gas, and fire extinguishing is more timely and effective; and meanwhile, in the preparation process, a relatively harsh sealing environment does not need to be arranged to prevent the fire extinguishing agent from leaking, and the preparation difficulty and the preparation cost are relatively lower.
