The invention relates to the technical field of sponge cities, and discloses a sponge city water circulation system which comprises a pavement main body and a water storage tank located in front of the pavement main body, a first water pump is installed at the upper end of the rear surface in the water storage tank, and a porous filter plate is installed in the water storage tank and located below the first water pump; a collecting tank is mounted on the right side of the water storage tank, and a collecting channel is arranged between the water storage tank and the collecting tank; rainwater is pumped into the water storage tank through the first water pump, and the stored rainwater is pumped out for use through the second water pump; the geotechnical cloth layer is used for filtering broken stone particles in the rainwater; the cleaning mechanism scrapes off the broken stone particles on the geotechnical cloth layer, the scraped broken stone particles slide into the collecting tank through the collecting channel to be collected, and the discharging mechanism makes the broken stone particles rapidly fall into the collecting tank through rapid reciprocating motion; by means of the system, gravel particles in rainwater can be separated, collected and treated independently.
