The invention discloses a construction method of a modular steel frame structure system. The modular steel frame structure system comprises horizontal frame beams horizontally arranged in a cross shape, vertical frame columns vertically connected to the intersection points of the horizontal frame beams and vertically arranged, and butt joint box assemblies connected to the joints of the horizontal frame beams and the vertical frame columns. Through the arrangement of the butt joint box assembly, convenient butt joint of the horizontal beam body and the vertical main body is guaranteed, and through the preset arrangement of the holes and the corresponding plate fixing nuts in the butt joint box assembly, follow-up installation and fixation are facilitated; therefore, the construction of the frame structure system is ensured; the horizontal frame beams and the vertical frame columns are arranged corresponding to the connecting plates, so that respective splicing connection is guaranteed, and splicing connection between the horizontal frame beams and the vertical frame columns and the butt joint box assembly is also guaranteed; and through the arrangement of the column expansion connecting part, the strength of the column body connecting end part is enhanced, the overall stress stability is also facilitated, and the reliability of column body force transmission is ensured.
