The invention discloses a buckle connection assembly type structural steel bar mechanical connecting piece which comprises a steel bar to be connected, an occlusion type connecting cylinder, a central energy consumption cylinder and a spring buckle. The meshing type connecting cylinder is divided into four pieces which are evenly distributed along the circumference and meshed with the other part of the cylinder to form a complete cylinder, screw holes are formed in the ends of the two parts of the cylinder, the central energy consumption cylinder is connected to the meshing type connecting cylinder at one end, and energy consumption materials can be filled in the central energy consumption cylinder according to actual working conditions. The spring buckles are located at the ends of the meshing type connecting cylinder pieces, and mechanical meshing force is formed through the spring buckles. The mechanical meshing force is improved through the meshing type connecting cylinder spring buckles, the construction procedures are reduced, the vertical load change of the structure in the using process is resisted through the filling material in the center energy dissipation cylinder, and meanwhile the energy dissipation capacity of a connecting piece can be enhanced when an earthquake occurs, so that the connecting position cannot be damaged firstly.
