The invention provides high-bending-strength aluminum oxide ceramic and a preparation method thereof. The high-bending-strength aluminum oxide ceramic is prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by weight: 100 parts of aluminum oxide ceramic granulation powder; 3-12 parts by weight of alumina whisker; 0.1-0.2 part by weight of a reinforcing agent; and 0.1-0.2 part by weight of a release agent. The aluminum oxide whiskers are added into the granulation powder, so that the bending strength of the aluminum oxide ceramic is effectively improved.
