The invention discloses a storage and transportation system suitable for large-span bridge girder storage and a construction technology of the storage and transportation system. The system comprises a girder storage trestle structure, a sliding base and a traction mechanism. The beam storage trestle structure is used for supporting storage and transportation slide way beams, a pair of storage and transportation slide way beams are arranged on the beam storage trestle structure, and the pair of storage and transportation slide way beams are arranged side by side in parallel; the sliding seat is used for bearing the main beam to move, store and transport and is arranged on the corresponding transport slide way beam, the sliding seat is of a hollow structure, through holes for a traction rope to penetrate through are formed in the two opposite ends of the sliding seat, and a detachable dragging mechanism is arranged at one end of the sliding seat; the traction mechanism is used for pulling the sliding seat to translate on the storage and transportation slideway beam; the traction mechanism comprises a traction winch and a traction rope used for penetrating through the sliding base to be connected with the dragging mechanism. The usage amount of steel is reduced, the construction period of the beam storage trestle is greatly shortened, and the cost is reduced; and the construction efficiency of the beam storage trestle bridge and the beam storage and moving operation efficiency are greatly improved.
