The invention mainly relates to the field of buildings, in particular to an expansion water-stop strip mounting structure and an expansion water-stop strip mounting method. The mounting structure comprises a plurality of clamps, a square tube and nails, the clamps are arranged on the top surface of the square tube, the nails penetrate through the square tube and the clamps from bottom to top, and corresponding through holes are formed in the square tube and the clamps; and the clamp clamps the middle part of the nail. The clamp comprises a clamping part at the top and a fixing part at the bottom, the fixing part is a U-shaped fixing plate, and a through hole is formed in the bottom of the fixing part. The clamping part is composed of two arc-shaped elastic pieces which are clamped with each other, and the two arc-shaped elastic pieces are arranged in an externally tangent mode. Compared with a bonding method, the fixing method belongs to mechanical fixing and is firmer, and the phenomenon of falling off in the concrete pouring process is avoided. Compared with a water nail fixing method, nails are pre-embedded in concrete, the connection strength is high, dense steel bars cannot affect operation, and high-strength concrete can further improve the connection strength.
