The invention provides an assembly type after-adding elevator shaft and a construction method, and relates to the technical field of adding elevator shafts, the assembly type after-adding elevator shaft comprises a foundation base and a shaft body, the foundation base is arranged in a foundation pit, and the shaft body comprises an elevator pit layer frame, an overground first layer frame and multiple stages of overground common layer frames which are sequentially in butt joint from bottom to top; the elevator pit layer frame is connected into the foundation base, the elevator pit layer frame, the overground first layer frame and the overground common layer frame each comprise an upper beam frame, a lower beam frame and a supporting column connected between the upper beam frame and the lower beam frame, the upper beam frame and the lower beam frame are vertically and correspondingly arranged at intervals, and a three-dimensional frame is formed among the upper beam frame, the lower beam frame and the supporting column. The upper beam frame and the lower beam frame are rectangular closed frames formed by sequentially connecting four groups of horizontal beams end to end. According to the beam-through and column-through structure system, the elevator shaft frame is designed to be formed by sequentially butting the multiple sets of independent frames in the height direction, the structural integrity of the elevator shaft is improved, the construction period is shortened, and the labor intensity of installation personnel is reduced.
