The invention relates to the field of energy dissipation components of building structures, and discloses a round wave type corrugated steel plate damper which comprises an upper connecting plate, a round wave type metal corrugated web, flanges on the two sides of the web and a lower connecting plate, and the round wave type metal corrugated web and the flanges on the two sides are fixedly installed between the upper connecting plate and the lower connecting plate. The circular-wave-shaped metal corrugated web is an arc-shaped vertical corrugated steel plate and is formed by connecting a plurality of arc corrugations with the same size, the arc corrugations are located on the two sides of the horizontal position of the center of the circular-wave-shaped metal corrugated web in a staggered mode respectively, and the wave height is not larger than the arc radius. According to the round wave type corrugated steel plate damper, the advantages of a traditional shearing type damper are not changed, meanwhile, the damper has better out-of-plane buckling prevention performance when working in a plane, and the damper can have better mechanical performance and energy dissipation capacity under the action of bidirectional force; the implementation mode has the advantages of simple structure, low production cost and the like.
