The invention discloses a construction method of a steel hanging box structure and the steel hanging box structure.The method comprises the steps that for a current bearing platform, side plates in a side plate system are connected with a bottom plate upper truss in a bottom plate system, and the side plates and a bottom plate lower truss are subjected to limiting treatment; inner surrounding purlins and outer surrounding purlins in the inner supporting system are connected through deformed steel bars, and the inner surrounding purlins and the outer surrounding purlins are separated from the side plate system; two jacks are arranged at the position of a steel casing in the lowering system for lowering, and a lower lifting point is arranged on a truss upper chord of the bottom plate system and arranged on an inner enclosing purlin in a supporting mode through a supporting steel pipe and a connecting steel pipe of the inner supporting system; and after construction of the current bearing platform is completed, the inner supporting system and the side plate system are dismantled so that the inner supporting system and the side plate system can be transferred to the next bearing platform. According to the scheme, resource investment can be reduced to the maximum extent, cost is effectively saved, the requirement for repeated use of multiple bearing platforms is met, and the turnover efficiency of the steel hanging box structure is improved to a great extent.
