The invention discloses a road bridge collision protection device which comprises at least two protection device bodies sequentially installed in the length direction of a guardrail, each protection device body comprises a base installed on the guardrail, a guiding mechanism arranged on the base, a triggering mechanism and a traction mechanism, and the guiding mechanisms are arranged on the upper portions of the bases to guide out-of-control vehicles to move along the guardrail. The triggering mechanism is arranged between the guiding mechanism and the base to monitor whether the guiding mechanism is impacted by an out-of-control vehicle or not, and the triggering mechanism sends a signal to the traction mechanism to intercept the out-of-control vehicle after monitoring that the guiding mechanism is impacted. The multiple protection devices are sequentially installed along the guardrail, the guiding mechanisms in the protection devices buffer and guide the out-of-control vehicle, the triggering mechanisms are triggered by the guiding mechanisms to send interception instructions to the traction mechanisms, the traction mechanisms intercept the out-of-control vehicle impacting the guiding mechanisms, and the out-of-control vehicle is fixed to the inner side of the guardrail; the problem that an out-of-control vehicle crashes the guardrail and leaves the road at present is effectively solved.
